Story behind the brand
Little girls with dreams become women with vision.

They say when creative minds get together, they can make impossible - possible and turn ordinaryintoextraordinary.

The Space Glow was launched by two girlfriends around 3 year ago while corona virus was taking over the world we used to live in and all of a sudden our house had become our only home. Therefore it is with no surprise that our main idea was to enrich usual at-home routine with something special and new, something that will imitate and replace our favourite beauty salon's protocols, regardless of location.

And indeed we are about the natural beauty and injection-free skincare.
The SpaceGlow is our personal tribute to self-love, universal care and a healthy organic life- style.
But don't let the simplicity fool you-this fascia-stimulating tools are truly lifestylechanging!

The main core of our brand's DNA is the space and the mysteries it hides.
Rangingfrom the darkenergy of thecosmic raysto theuniquenessof the solarsystem, its enigmas are endless, countless and eternal, and are fully reflected in our unique
out-of-this-world design.
Here at the Space Glow we're dedicated to bring a piece of space to each andeveryone of you!

Packaging
The Space Glow concept can be defined by two main aspects: non-invasive beauty and passion for design, very well demon-started in our bright orange, eye-catching packaging.
The Space Glow expresses its energetic nature through the colours. The colourful theme takes its beginning from the artists such as Joseph Albers, Luis Barragan, Mark Rothko, Olafur Eliasson and many others.
Fifty shades of orange define the identity of the brand. As it is well-known to be the colour of energy, life and joy, it does indeed set a festive mood and helps raise productivity. Orange is also associated with everything unconventional, which perfectly corresponds to what our brand is striving to be.
The simplicity of the colour and a shape emerges, provokes
and enhances potential customer's emotional response, provid- ing him with a unique visual experience.

We value the mother nature and dedicated to being an
eco-friendly company. We are working hard to incorporate recycled and eco-friendly materials into our packaging.

Packaging design
Me and the team have developed three types of packaging for face rollers - first is for more expensive face rollers that has a foam orange box and a plastic lid and a plastic rubber, and second is for less expensive small face rollers that is a bubble bag package and cardboard box.
Furthermore, the packaging for the more expensive face rollers was designed in such a way that it can be vertically placed on a display in shops, beauty salons and other points of sales. This helped to enhance the product's visual appeal and make it more attractive to potential customers.

Packaging of a product plays a significant role in our marketing and branding. The right packaging helped to attract and retain customers, communicate the product's value proposition, and differentiate it from competitors.

Packaging Features
Protection: Both types of packaging - the foam box and plastic lead for the more expensive face rollers, and the bubble bag package for the less expensive small face rollers - provide protection to the product during shipping and handling. It helps to reduce the likelihood of damage or breakage, which could impact customer satisfaction and lead to returns or negative reviews.

Cost-effectiveness: The bubble bag package for the less expensive small face rollers is likely to be more cost-effective than the foam box and plastic lead for the more expensive face rollers. It helps to keep production costs down and potentially make the product more affordable for customers.

Visual appeal: Foam packaging, which features a transparent lead and foam and allows the box to be displayed vertically, can help to enhance the product's visual appeal and make it more attractive to potential customers. This could lead to increased sales and revenue.

Branding: Both types of packaging can be customised with the company's branding, logo, and other design elements. This can help to build brand recognition and loyalty among customers.

Sustainability: Depending on the materials used for the packaging, there may be opportunities to promote the product's sustainability credentials. Packaging is made from recyclable or biodegradable materials, this could be highlighted in marketing materials to appeal to environmentally conscious customers.

Websites
I developed/designed websites to provide information and promote the use of products for facial massage and skincare. The website includes products descriptions, benefits, and instructions for use, as well as customer reviews and testimonials.

Additionally, the website features educational content on the benefits of facial massage and how to properly use face rollers to achieve the desired results. It includes information on the science behind facial massage, the different techniques that can be used with the rollers, and tips for incorporating the rollers into a skincare routine.
It mainly serves to provide customers with an easy and convenient way to order the products online.

Magazines

With a help of our PR team, we got featured in articles published by magazines Harper's Bazaar and Vogue that have highlighted the benefits of using face rollers as part of a daily skincare routine. Some of the reported benefits of using face rollers include improving skin texture and tone, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and increasing the effectiveness of skincare products.

What I learned

  1. After analyzing sales data, we learned that reducing the price of face rollers could potentially increase demand and boost overall sales. As a result, we have decided to lower the price point in order to make the product more accessible to a wider range of customers.
  2. In response to concerns about cost and environmental impact, we have decided to change the packaging for our face rollers. The new packaging will reduce production costs, as well as lower the environmental impact by using eco-friendly materials.
  3. Looking to the future, our plans include expanding our presence in the UK market, and adding two new products to our existing line. These additions will help to diversify our product offering and cater to a broader range of customer needs.
